Steve Pinney was born January 17, 1948, in Chicago and raised in Milwaukee. He has worked as an Illustrator, advertising artist,cartoonist, stonemason, sign writer, model maker, gilder, actor, musician, singer, woodcarver, sheetrocker, roofer, portrait artist, stonecarver, neon designer, welder, carpenter, vacuuformer, bricklayer, hoddy, pencilist, oil painter, moldmaker, tool designer, inventor and sculptor for film and television.

One of his peers once said; "Pinney, if you had really done everything you say you've done you would be 105!" Maybe he really is. The Ibo mask is part of Pinney's African Art Collection.
